Step One:

Visa fee to be paid at an HDFC branch & receipt collected. This receipt has a bar code with out which the application cannot be processed.

Step Two:

Log on to www.vfs-usa.co.in
After 2 working days of paying HDFC online forms DS – 156 & DS - 157 can be filled and appointment taken for visa. Please note DS – 157 has to be filled by all clients between the age of 15 to 55 years, if you are above 55 years you only have to fill DS – 156 form.(You will need to affix one photograph 2” x 2” with white background, most photographers know this size and you have to indicate that the photo is for American visa)

When you fill the form certain available appointment dates appear on the calendar, you could choose one date & the time will be allocated to you automatically in your appointment letter.

Step Three:
Clients will have to go personally for the Interview at the allocated time. (Please note you cannot be late)

Documents required for the processing of Visa:

1. Passport, DS-156 & DS-157 duly printed & signed, Visa fee receipt issued by HDFC Bank & interview letter.

2. Business travelers need to produce proof that the company will finance the trip. If the company is new or unknown it is helpful to carry tax records of the firm for the last three years & bank statement for the last six months.
